If imagination became reality

If imagination became reality

A Poem by Urja Gokani

If imagination became reality
We would travel by flying carpets
We would play with flying footballs
We would have wings to paint the walls

If imagination became reality
We wouldn't have to walk to the malls to shop
We would just have to fly above the clouds
And above the clouds would be shops and malls

If imagination became reality
We wouldn't have to use spoons and forks
With just a finger and just a spell
The food would fly to our mouth

Imagination Oh! imagination
What do I tell?
You shower on my head
But can you come to reality

If you do , everyone would be amazed
Everyone would be in shock

If imagination became reality
Every wish would become true
Every heart would pump
Every man would become a child again.

So filled with a joy in the shadows of the bittersweet. Our imaginations can bring us so much delight, yet too often they are only dreams that fade in daylight.

You're welcome! :)
Nicely done.
I actually am fine with the presumptive "if" because it serves for me as a grounding point which, in reality, we do find convenient.
You present what seems to me to be an optimistic view of human imagination, with which I am more than OK. I think there have been times in my personal history in which, in my unintentionally wronging someone else, they may have imagined things for me that (had I known) I would have been relieved did not come to fruition.
Dante Alighieri altered an entire religion's point of view with his literary work Divine Comedy which, from the 14th century on, profoundly and lastingly gave new imaginings to that religion’s notion of sin and evil. Kind of scary stuff, if you are given over to that side of imagination. The whole of the range of human imagination would fill entire expanding universes, both light and dark matter.
Thank you for this. I enjoyed it.

thanks a lot for your big review :)
Remove the If, the would from everywhere in this poem. it's not a question girl, it's a statement

Imagination Is REALity
We travel by flying carpets
We play with flying footballs
We have wings to paint the walls

Imagination is REALity
Every wish is true
Every heart pumps
Every man is a child again.

It is good to be Affirmative - Positive - without it - Imagination is not REALity

NO

So true. the things that go through our minds, OMG!!! and the great thing some of the things that we imagine come to pass. I bet the aeroplane, the computer and many other things were once imaginations in some people's heads. well-written

A poignant innocent dream has been created here. I particularly like the final stanza. There is a kind of tragedy in the sense that we, as human beings, as adults, cannot be like that - and a kind of nostalgia for something that hasn't and will not happen somehow...
Charming.

How true that last line, but as a person who has used his imagination to both make a living and an escape it feels like my imagination is half way real already. Nice prospective, creative and dare I say it very imaginative :~)
