Minutes Spent In DreamA Poem by Marie HarrisonA poem about a little girl day dreaming about being a woman.Minutes Spent In Dream As I swing Through the air Without a care in the world, Do I dare dream of What I’ll be when I’m No longer a little girl? When the days of satin bows In my hair and white linen Baby doll dresses disappear. Will there be a time when Afternoons playing Four square And red rover Will really be over? Will I go to the prom? Will I grow up to be a Mom? Maybe I’ll travel to Malaysia And wear a sarong Around my rounded, Curvy hips. There’s nothing wrong With a few minutes Spent in dream, As I sit in this swing. © 2010 Marie HarrisonAuthor's Note
