erosion

erosion

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A poem about erosion.

"
.erosion.

erosion of my
soul happens
one drip at a time

drip after drip
melts my memories
my dreams
my hopes

drip after drip
and I'm all gone
flowing out to the gutter
of the underworld

I thought this was a beautiful image.. however, I also think that you could really add on to this one.. it doesn't seem complete to me.
Great piece though.. love the imagery and tone. :)

this erosion had a sense of mystery
but also a sense of clarity
as the rust chips off
you come back to reality

This reminds me of someone having Alzheimer's Disease,
wasting away in their mind, forgetting cherished moments,
one by one bye one ... Sad.
