Penny Dreams

Dreaming about you and me

You are all that I can see.

 

I loved you, why couldn’t

You believe in me?

 

It was your seed that

I yearned to make all

Of my dreams come true.

 

Together perfect

Lives we would lead.

 

But now in the busy

World you speed

Without me.

 

Too much is between us now

We can’t even see our

Way through the fog.

 

For we are drifting in the

Stream of the world.

I've been dreaming a lot lately and hoping for that "together perfect..." Your words confess such sadness.. such remorse in the loss.. I wonder what it would have taken to turn in that drifting stream and melt back together. What does one need to make dreams come true.. no matter how hard.
