My Time

My Time

Many days go by

I wish that I could die

If only it was my time

 

I wish I may

I wish I might

Death was the plight

I had in my sights

 

Now those

Wishes have lifted

They drifted

Away like a red kite

Now I smile happily

At my cotton candy life

As I peacefully sigh

 

But Cindy’s battle

 Is about to end

I only wish I could send

Her the rest of my life

In order to keep

Hers from ending

 

If I could give what

I have left to lend

Not that I want

My life to end

 

Cindy

She’s a mother

A wife

A sister

Someone too special

For the world to lose

 

I’m nothing to the wind

No one would care if I end

If only it was my life to lend

 

Cindy, she’ll leave

So much behind

It’s such a crime

If she’s to die like this

If only she could

 Have more time

 

If only it was my life

I’d lend her mine

Because my

Is so kind
