You might be interested in some of Twain's darker works, ie. "The Mysterious Stranger" because it shows you a perspective of his that you won't see in most of his more popular works. Its been a long time, but I'm pretty sure it followed the death of his wife or a close relative and its REALLY dark. This poem is a nice tribute to him. His use of colloquialisms and dialect were really pivotal to the next step of realism in American literature.

in school, we're reading his story, and this story is probably his secret of all! Mark Twain is a really good writer, and although I don't know him much, but still like his work :)

Short, simple but yet tells story throughout the whole poem. Speaks the truth, love it real much again :)
