"

five of ten. inspired by the movie spirited away.

"
You saved me,
That night, when I fell into the river.

I was so little, I hardly remember,
Except that you took my shoe.

Kohaku, where are you going?
Oh, why do you cry?

Our tears are falling upwards,
As without wings, we fly.

Dropping towards the ground,
We are not afraid.

We’ve battled death and evil spirits
And witches and your curse.

We can survive, Kohaku, don’t you see?
Please don’t leave me

You’re my only anchor to my memories.
I promise I won’t look back,

Until I pass the gate.
What has happened here?

We were only gone an hour.
This dusty trick,

This branched trick,
Has rather made Dad sour.

I vaguely remember a mysterious journey,
But wasn’t it just fantasy?

I don’t remember this hair tie,
With sparkles tucked in.

What happened to the river?
I think we may have been friends…
