I am

I am

A Poem by chr66is

I walk on air, leaving tracks

of thick, cloudy footprints,

the remnants of a whimsical

child’s teddy-bear or rabbit’s

head, now scattered across

the dreamy, blue sky,

I scribble on the street with

crayons made of pink and

yellow light, my sidewalks

become your sunsets, my

golden masterpiece roars

with intensity, turning your

blue marble lush shades of

green,

I hang suspended, upside-down,

and twirl around and around,

building momentum until

your trees sway and your

hats blow off your heads,

eyes closed with irresistible

dizziness and exhilaration,

You never see me, but I

am here just as surely

as you are,

You can see me in stars,

you can feel me in the

warmth of a sunbeam,

you can smell me as the

washed-up earth after a

lilting thunderstorm,

and you can taste me

as the salt in the ocean’s

spray,

You are never without me

and I am always with you.

I am.

I enjoyed this write very much. It made me think of just a spiritual being at first. I fyou believe in God, this poem made me think of Him. Spiritual beings are every where... within the wind. Angels within the sky and touching us with by warmth of sunlight.

This truely was a beautiful write. Easy, simple, light and full of imagery.
Gentle ink.. very nice. ;p
