A Poem by Chrys Marie
"

What does it feel like to be in love?

"
QWhat does it feel like to be in love?

You've only known true peace when you feel her hand in yours.
Lying side by side on the grass, under the moon's light,
You'll begin to see the stars dance to the rhythm of her heartbeat.
And though the night is cold,
The warmth of her hand is more than enough for you.
And you'd do anything for the world to stop, for time to halt,
Because the moment is something you want to put in a picture frame
( If only moments could be captured with all their essence ).
It's a wonderful feeling, the feeling of belonging somewhere,
Knowing how you belong with her.
And as the night fades into the background,
It's not long before you realize that the stars don't belong in the sky,
That they belong in her eyes.
And if you could only compose a song with the whispers of the wind,
About how you wish you could kiss her as the cool night breeze could,
You would do it.
Because the spaces between your fingers are where hers fit perfectly,
Like the pieces of a puzzle you've been longing to complete.

This is wonderful. When we're with that 'special someone,' everything just seems beautiful and perfect -- as if life itself revolves around your love. I like the way this poem created this feeling. I absoulutely loved the descriptions in this piece, especially the last two lines. This reminded me of the poem "To Be in Love" by Gwendolyn Brooks.

That unknown feeling of deep release and yearning when it comes to love escapes even the most rational mind, you bend the will of most readers with perfection, well done, good read.

Thank you, I appreciate it.
It describes the first phase of falling in love beautifully- how everything around you relates to the love you feel, and how we look up close at the details, the hands, the heartbeat, the longing to kiss, or to suspend time and linger in love. I love the last two lines which sum it all up- the feeling you've found someone that fills the missing pieces in your life. Beautiful and direct, with a touch of wonderment.

I find it that is really cool that you were writing this after a study session of math. I can tell you relate to being distracted by writing a piece of poetry or story as a writer in the most randomest moments. And as a result this piece of writing is quite beautiful and it is one of the many poem this that quite capture the concept and feeling of love.

Thank you!
Love is magical! It is the true essence of our life, it is where the life begins and it is where the life finishes... Your way of presenting her using the elements of nature is magnificent... You have painted her in life's true colors and love surely flows throughout this poem...

You have used simplicity so well in this write frnd... Very well done...

Sincerely
Dhiman

Thank you for your review.
This is beautiful. I loved it.
I also liked the way you wrote it as if it's from a boy's mind, yet you are a girl.
Your poem painted a smile on my face. :) Good job!
