My Blue Confession

My Blue Confession

A Poem by RannunculusBlooms
"

An original love poem about the color blue.

"
Blue used to remind me of sadness and things lost, but since knowing you, blue has become more than just merely a color.   Blue is the sky overhead that smiles down on us when we're together. Blue is the vast, sparkling ocean, which we admire endlessly. Blue is the vivid flowers we pass by on our nature walks. Blue is the blue-jays that rouse us on lazy mornings in our shared bed. Blue is your favorite color. Blue is a feeling.
Blue is my love for you

Another well written and concise work, Cleo. I like it. You ask for improvement suggestions, and I'm struggling! However, here's one for you to consider - you could heighten the sensory pleasures from the ocean and the wild flowers. Admire and pass by are fairly distant detached activities. There's scope for smell, or even interacting with, e.g. paddling or skinny-dipping, or decorating each other's hair with petals, etc etc. This MIGHT heighten the emotional intensity of the piece, thus giving even stronger rationale for the final line of love.

THANK YOU IM TRYIN
And the colour associated with the Archangel Michael (if you're that way inclined).
Its hard to really describe colours.
I loved the line "Blue is your favourite colour." - to me, that made this a real love poem.
Those little things like knowing their fav song, fav poem...fav colour are all loving things.
