I'm still not sure whether this is a Haiku or a Senryu

I just had to read this when I caught the title! Your pic and title here are right on.

It's hard to imagine hatred blossoming... but I've seen it in action (unfortunately). Nothing tends to shock me anymore. Guess I'm getting older (not sure if I'm wiser though!).

So many people are afraid to speak up against those who spew hatred. But there are brave souls who do and make positive change in the end.

Thanks for this!

I guess to be a Haiku it has to refer to the season somehow and a Senryu has to refer to humanity. So I think that this would be a Senryu but because you mention blossoming, It could also be a Haiku. I think it is both myself. I have some that are both.

I enjoyed your poem.

My only critique is that you used the word "blossom" in both your title and in the poem. In something this short that really sticks out.

Great senryu...one of my favorite forms actually. I love how they can encapsulate thoughts and ideas so succinctly.

THANK YOU for this!!! I loved this senyru. I feel you depicted hatred well and how it spreads as well. Very nice imagery and wording. Nice work!-Catrina

I really enjoyed this piece. Senryu is a great style indeed.

This is one of the most powerful senryu I think I've read on here yet. Definitely puts all of mine to shame! I hope you win the contest (even if I am competing against you)! :)
