What Wars a Good War?

What Wars a Good War?

A Poem by Conrad Wrobel
"

Gotta hate the president. Gotta hate the war. Gotta hate the president some more.

"

Our boys, our men, our civil servants,

Lost in a land of corruption and terrorists.

To get there they shouldn’t be so far from home,

The white house is far as they’d have to roam.

What divides our president from the masses,

With A K Forty Sevens

On a Jihad to Heaven.

What separates him from the common man,

I think all the power has gone to his head.

We aren’t in Iraq to save the denizen’s,

We’ve invaded a country for natural resources.

The life of one man is not equal to oil,

The life of a thousand makes my blood start to boil.

Who started this war?                           He did!

Who chose to invade?                          He did!

Who declared war on terrorism?           He did!

Who’s got the power to reverse it?       He does….?

Men getting shot for something the presidents done.

I don’t mean to be spiteful; I don’t mean to be mad,

But sometimes I wish the damn b*****d was dead.

A great rant. Yeah, I went and voted for Barack. I used to be a McCain supporter but he switched game plans on me so I had to go with Obama. The old McCain (when he was running against Bush for the party nomination) sounded nothing like this campaign. He hated Bush. Next, we see him hugging Bush and being his "yesman". No thanks. And NOBODY wanted Sarah Palin. lol I heard she gave back all the clothes she bought with campaign contributions (except the shoes!) lol

A well written work but you forget that Congress approved that action.
