She Will Be Noticed

She Will Be Noticed

A Chapter by Constance
"

Quick free verse.

"

She enters in like a storm cloud

Demanding your notice

Raining on you her approval

Or hailing on you her fury.

Always sure to be heard:

Feet patter, voice thunders,

Ever conscious you should see

Flashings of teeth, gusts of skirt-

Making certain you catch the scent

That reminds one of creation.

Yet her taste forever eludes

As  is her sole intent.

That was AWESOME. Seriously. I adore reading other people's poetry. I haven't written any in quite a while... since January, so it's refreshing to read someone's writing that has similar themes to my own. Very well written. I loved the structure, and the way you wrote it made me really think about whether I liked this person or not. EXCELLENT. :)

Can't say as I saw too much Dorothy Parker in this poem. No acerbic whit.

Wow! This is a poem about a woman that both attacts me and frightens me. I love it. I particularly love her complexity - which is shown very effectively in the third and fourth lines. I see much of you in this poem, and it is the "you" that I have grown to love so much.

Yeowee. I don't know if I should lust after or dispise a woman like that. You have a way with words, Constance. Sam
