Season of Truth

Season of Truth

A Poem by Constance

True love has reached its season

Within you I have found such peace

Losing sense reveals a reason

Affections at long last released

Within you I have found such peace

Angst, regret, have moved aside

Hope that I had thought deceased

No longer finds the need to hide

Losing sense reveals a reason

I shall not let myself deny

The heart, once guilty of treason

Now knows whereabouts she'll lie

Affections at long last released

As yet they only seem to grow

Ah, darling, in the very least

You're all of truth I need to know

Rhyming Poetry is always difficult, and there are plenty of critics who can easily pick it apart. But I believe it allows the poem to have a since of flow and carries the thought along. You've done well here. I enjoyed the poem immensely. Your passion's still showing. Hope to read some lighter works soon.

A poem I did enjoy but found the metre slightly uneven which to me, took something from the flow.

Oh very deep and with such tremendous feelings... opening a heart that you tried to keep closed...

The heart, once guilty of treason
Now knows whereabouts she'll lie

Those lines I really love cause sometimes we purpose sabotage relationships to keep our distance.
Wonderful work.

I applaud loudly, neatly rhymed and metered revealing your inner emotions with great clarity

Well rendered!

One thinks of Gibran's "Think not you can guide the course of Love, for Love if it finds you worthy, will guide your course."

"Losing sense reveals a reason," is reminiscent of "Stop Making Sense," the Talking Heads concert DVD.

"Season of Truth" knows of Love, and no other power lifts all key components of life-agents at once. Sustainability is about thoroughness of engagement: Love.

Song lyric quality to your poem too. Good work!
