Conquest

Conquest

A Poem by Constance-Outspoken

Engrossed in memories, I've conquered sleep
Disquieted by hopes that came true
Wishes that were granted but then
Taken away, too soon
Too soon, taken away
But then, those wishes were granted
Hopes that came true disquieted by
Sleep: I've been conquered, engrossed by memory

Manipulating structure while making poignant sense is an art. Actually tieing it all together cohesively is the work of a masterful mind.

Your words create a feeling of twirling, moved in and out of thought and feeling, like a dance. The hopes and wishes coming alive... sleep overturned... There is a strong sense of being and moving on...

The words of that rolling stone song come to mind "you can't always get want you want, but if you try sometimes you get what you need."

So wonderfully expressed m friend, words of wisdom wrapped in artwork.

Palindrome? Very well done. Impressive, but then, I suppose that's saying the very least, isn't it?
