Scars of War!

Scars of War!

A Poem by costa siwale
"

I wanted to write about these continuous wars and their effects, very tragic indeed

"
Echoes of war in a distance!
Choking stench of blood, a nuisance,
The grounds, burdened with death!
While the souls chant their curse.

Humans of hardened hearts!
Burn the genesis of young life.
The sting of women's cries,
Echoes through the millennial skies!

Are we not monsters?
To justify the works of death!
To slaughter the youngest of breath!

Woe! to the war-like..
Burn! their wretched kind!
Tame their wicked mind!
Oh! you gods!

A master of words with this poem. I can feel every word, one line compliments the next.
"Are we not monsters? To justify the works of death! To slaughter the youngest of breath!" The whole poem emotes such raw emotion of the horrors of war but that stanza in particular drives it through the heart. Well done Sir!

thank you indeed, Drama. your words are kind
I am reminded of Brian Eno. When he sampled poetic insight into world war. Your life rods capture and frame an image if a world you can see in great detail!! Love your work Man!!! Power to you!!
