Tied in Knots

Tied in Knots

A Poem by Invisible Ink

Previous Version
This is a previous version of Tied in Knots.

All of the lives

that I've tried

were cheap.

All of the lies I told,

guarding the truth

became an impossible feat,

always tongue in cheek.

However I tried to unfold it

I am a knot pulled tight

and stuck in the stomach,

twisted so deep,

tied up and around

those organs that beat,

choking out words

from lung to throat,

waiting for the passage

to open, while the wind

whipped through me

and blew

right out of my mouth
