Not For Reality

 

 

We locked eyes from across the room

truthfully I’ve had my eyes on him for years

but there was no need to tell him that

I knew eventually this day would come

 

He slowly made his way across the floor

and tapped my shoulder

causing me to spin around fast

we were body to body and I could feel his breath on my face

he stared at me with those beautiful eyes

 

Then he grabbed hold of me

and moved towards my face

but took a turn towards my ear slowly whispering

"I've loved you since day one"

before I knew it his lips crashed into mine

and then..

 

my alarm started whining

and I realized that this perfect moment

was only meant to be a dream

not for reality.

OMG! I love it. Once I had a dream about my crush (it wasn't like how it was in your poem) but it was a good dream and when I woke up, I found myself smiling. Lol.
