Grateful for each page turned,
Gaining words, phrases, and chapters
Circling conflicts, climax, and resolutions
Then returning the cycle
into metamorphosis
until the ending...
Could be tragic, or merely happy ever after
Reality or fantasy
Either romantic or suspense.

As we read, we’re in journey,
Continuing the travel of history
Fate written the glorious piece
Never knows the last page,
One book; 12 chapters
12 chapters; 365 pages
The bottomline: how many books we could read and beyond?

Timely piece as we reflect on the past and look to the future. I like the matter-of-fact words and phrases. You so well convey the reality of the past-- it happened, learn from it, move on to the future, the next "book." Perfect question to end your poem? It's something to consider and inspire. Nice work!
