Sunshine

Sunshine

Sense poem

"
It's early, the day begins
The sun wakes us from our slumber
It's rays of light snaking through
the cracks of the window coverings

Ears alert for morning sounds
Birds announce a new day
Cats meow for their breakfast
Other rooms alarms buzz to life

Roll over, stretch, open your eyes
No not yet, the warmth of the
blankets calling you back,
A few minutes to doze

Eyes closed rays of light
Stronger now shine brighter
Eyes see the glowing red
A sigh and you're awake

Stand in the suns light
Gather warmth from its rays
Life renewing
A smile and you're on your way.

I feel this way every morning. It's a simple but really nice poem. I really like it.
