I wonder where the sun has gone, the grayness and rain leave me cold

and flat

and sad

and crushed

I wonder when I can travel, the sites and scenes and the memories,

and excitement

and lovers

and joy

I wonder when the kids will move out and leave the nest behind

and empty

and hollow

and quiet

I wonder when my time will be mine, to explore things of interest

and read

and paint

and create

I wonder where my energy has gone, depleting, exhausting

and tired

and sick 

and fragile

I wonder of the ripples I make, with the generous nature of mine 

and impacts

and spreading

and Karma

I wonder about the cycles of life, the up and down of the roller coaster

and life

and freedom

and fairness

I wonder about society, where its heading and what will happen

and communities

and freedoms

and death

The mind is an exciting place, to explore ideas

and ideals

and relationships

and happiness

Wow, nice job! I love it when poem have that repetitive rhythm, especially when the ending strays a bit, giving it contrast.
