Eleven Alone

Eleven Alone

A Poem by Brooke Wake
"

Distant reflections.

"
Eleven Alone

Winds swept howls of latent wolves
Crouching in the spotlight snow
Eyes crimson-curious, wont for midnight leisure
If only I would cease splintering
Icy glass missiles of glazed
Winter speech

Pause, crush, slide
Exhilarated spree
Oblivious at eleven years only
Bonded to every atom
Salient within the silent world

I tingle down to
Twilight fingertips
Wander-drift

Forget to stand in the way
Of myself

. hallelujah! ... "icy glass missiles of glazed winter speech"? ... it's as if a stealth bomber just flew across the skies ... and shattered all the glass in my building ... absolute genius, brooke ... your crimson curious eyes bring you in the spot light and how ... and don't you stand in the way of yourself ... just keep writing like a dream and keep inspiring us ...

Forgetting to stand in the way of oneself is forging forward in life. I really like twilight fingertips and wind swept howls. you communicate your point with grace and beauty. I greatly enjoyed my visit!

And thank you for the kind reviews.
