Pieces of yearning

just one of the thoughts circulating my mind at the time chose this one because i felt lighthearted and wanted to try different structure namely stanzas which i heard so much about but have never

we all search for pieces we ourselves do not have 

a craving for being whole 

 we look at others as complete 

but we do not see their unending feats

their struggles of heart and will

because they have what we do not

but this is no reason to be distraught

for they look at us the same

for this no one is to blame

for no one has all the pieces

so instead we look and search 

with building self doubt

an inadequacies of the heart

tearing our very lives apart

so we yearn and yearn

and stew and stew

some stewing with envy others with admiration and respect

but we are all the same in this aspect

so we stew all the same mixing in a little of us

and a little of them 

a forming sense of self

begins to stem

for no matter how deep it may seem

 beyond all your hopes and dreams

their always exists something inbetween

a harmony in disharmony of the lives we live

and how much all of us are willing to give

so we  share a sentimentality 

a preconceived thought of this reality

it is there for us and us alone 

while this may be truth to some 

and in a way it is completely right for all or none

none of us may have all the pieces

but all of us have the pieces that someone other than us needs

so why not sow the seeds

of growth for others

growth for all 

so we can rise above it all

to a world we can truly be free 

of the thing we call the human dis-ease.

Wow! I love this one. Such talent. . .
We all have this yearning for something that other people seem to have, not realizing what we have is enough for us. And in the process of trying to reach for what we want, we end up unconsciously destroying ourselves.

Yet, "none of us may have all the pieces, but all of us have the pieces that someone other than us needs".
That line is beautiful.

YAY I love that you experimented with stanzas!!! How was it?
As to the poem, you're going to get so tired of me saying this... but it was marvelous. And beautifully hopeful and deep at the same time.

I love how you managed to express the feeling of missing a piece without it sounded sad or hopeless. You painted it beautifully, in a way that says that while we might be searching for our lost pieces, so is every one else. And someone or many someones has the piece(s) we need, just like we have the piece to make someone else whole.
