Heart's Vestiges

Heart's Vestiges

A Poem by Dane V. Loviel
"

A very short poem, on being away from one that matters. For Jordan, whom I have complete faith in.

"
Come and receive the vestiges of my heart.
To speak of love is trifle when apart.
Come and take the Poets' Breath from me;
a kiss, my Love incarnate, giv'n to thee.

Come, and when you go receive it well,
so where once we were apart memory dwell.

Author's Note

Dane V. Loviel
I decided to use the term Poets' Breath in this one, which is also the main metaphor of my most recent poem. Do you, as writers, have any particular feelings about reusing themes or motifs from one work to the next?
