Michael

Michael

A Story by success

He is called Michael.
His friends had told him how beautiful and sexy ladies are on campus.
Michael found himself in the university.
It was the time to experience it himself.
What my friends call, “fiilin-fiilin.”
He couldn’t resist her charming face when his eyes first met her.
A beauty to behold.
Esther was her name.
She was good-looking. Call her the “center of attraction.”
She possessed the kind of beauty that made guys trip and fall.
His friends didn’t like the way he was been treated.
Their motive; the girl was “too big” for him.
And who told you Michael cared about the “otoolege,” “kwaadonto”
And other unprintable names he was been tagged with?
Michael didn’t care about the names his friends called him.
This guy didn’t mind. All he needed from Esther was her love.
And she gave it to him.
The guy didn’t care about the shouts and insults he received from her.
The love he had for her was much greater that those shouts.
Loving eyes cannot see.

The break up
It came as a shock.
Michael had visited her like he did most of the time.
This time the girl was very submissive.
Their chat was very interesting and sounded so refreshing
Until the unexpected happened.
All the laughter ceased.
“Michael,” she called.
Esther continued, “I don’t like the way this relationship is leading us to.
I have boyfriend that I love dearly.”
“The best option I can give you is friendship.” She ended
He couldn’t fathom.
He thought she may be joking since it was April 1
But the look on her face wasn’t that of someone ready for jokes.
“Noo! Noo!! Why? Why??
Whyyyy???
Where did I go wrong?
Why did she make me commit myself?
Does she know what she just uttered?
Noooo! This can’t be happening to me.”
(These thoughts kept running through his mind).
Michael stood up from her bed.
He wanted to talk but all he could say was,
“Thank you,” with tears flowing down his cheeks.
