THIEVING THOUGHTS; you steal my sleep

THIEVING THOUGHTS; you steal my sleep

A Poem by Otonye Daniel

A little banter in me
My eyes hate the will of my mind to stay awake
Exhausted lids from seeing much
it's time to hit the break or clutch-
Of seeing mortal doings;
For today My eyes have seen enough
A little riot in me
My rowdy heart is full of thoughts
My head a brawling sea
Carcassed thoughts rot within-
As new thoughts steal my sleep..
My eyes long for dreams
A little wish i ask
That my mind be quiet
And let me take my sleep!
A loudly silent night
Yet my ears be abused!
Stupid thoughts! Let me go
Into my dreams to bask and be-bemused!
