Caesura

Caesura

A Poem by darem aq.

CAESURA

Awaiting in cold manners

As the false hope cascades

Harboring refugees of denial

A cortex of smudged visions

This shrouded animation

This is yet another day

In the life of an anticipator

A coherent smile on his dismal face

A fissure in his wandering spirit’s pace

His raison d’être; just a silent code

Carry those limbs of yours

And desert this shell

For all your preconceived notions

Will ever pale in comparison

Of what reality hides for you

Caress your body and soul

Cherish the memories

Of the prolonged motive

That had ever-driven your heart

Very nicely written, the words were so well chosen and the flow is wonderful. I especially love that I learned something new, as I didn't know what raison d’être was until I looked it up. I love to read things that get my intellect running haha. The connection between your title and your poem is interesting, in fact, I thought from the get go that the title was interested. It's always good when you're enticed by a piece of writing from simply its title. Well done!

You do have a way with the words.
"His raison d’être; just a silent code

Very nice line.. the entire piece is well done

Mystic... Mysterious and Amazing.
This is, indeed, a meaningful self-directed-monologue!!!
You start by describing what you observe in your daily life and coming up with this distorted generalization of reality: "This shrouded animation"

Then you describe yourself, your life and your daily living process... the life of an anticipator!
Smile when there is no true reason to but just do it because you have to keep the truth with as discrete as you can from the those observers...
Keeping this silent code away... where it's safe!!!

The piece takes on a different manner where this anticipator talks to himself... encouraging... demanding and commanding... setting up the way of the rest of the journey that seems to have lost of mysteries yet to be discovered!!!

The ending is not less useful nor meaningful... it's just a cherishing one...
A sentiment to go-on!!!

Keep up the great work,
You are amazing =)

There is such a sadness of lost expectations and hopes mingled through this piece. You paint these words with a wondrous brush, giving us glimpses of a life on the edge...

This is a great write, mixing cynicism with hope, suspicion with trust; it shows the complexity of true emotions that course through all of us. I greatly enjoyed the read.
