A Flower

This was the first freestyle poem I had written . My friend gave me inspiration when she told me she was giving her boyfriend an origami flower. Hope you like it!

Have you ever heard

of a flower that never needs

Water, soil, or sunshine?

 

A flower that stays in full bloom

Through summer and winter

Through good times and bad

 

A flower that rarely gets smaller,

growing endlessly.

A few lost petals,

A little droop,

but, without a doubt,

it will always regrow

into something more beautiful.

 

I have one of those.

I call it Love.

I really like the idea of the piece. the source of your inspiration is very interesting and unique. I have to say that I like this piece. I think that maybe the last line in the third stanza could be tweaked a little though.

it reallly makes you go aww.. and i love while you are reading it.. all the lines are clues to what kind of 'flower' it is.. so i kind of like its predictability
