Rain

Rain

A Poem by Aldora Sparrow
"

A series of haikus to describe a raining scene.

"

Silver raindrops fall

Caressing my waiting lips
A soft lullaby

Slipping down my face
And body, so sweet and quiet
A beautiful scene

Chilling my bare skin
But warming me to my soul
A loving embrace

Dark rain clouds rolling
Fresh air, cleansing and gentle
A flourishing life

Clear and smooth rain shards
So calm, has no substitute
A priceless world

The imagery is beautiful and very water-like. The rhythm definitely fits the theme of rain.

I didn't even notice it was a set of haikus until I glanced at Howl's review. Shows how much I know about poetry...and how much I pay attention to writer's descriptions.

This had an excellent flow to it. I could see the rain. I could feel it. Well done.

Great work! This is a beautiful string of haikus. I love how they can each be separated as single haikus or put together like this to paint such a lovely picture. The imagery is brilliant!
