Though I know, I still hold on...

Though I know, I still hold on...

A Poem by Aldora Sparrow
"

Just a Shakespearean sonnet. haven't tried it out before. Hope you like it

"

Suddenly spring feels like winter, so cold

What have I done to lose your affection?

Seeing you happy in her loving hold

I can’t look in the other direction

My unfilled arms try to reach out for you

But they can only catch that empty space.

My cold tears number far more than a few

But they can still see your radiant face.

My confused soul still wanders aimlessly

But it always returns to your sweet tone

My echoing heart beats so painfully

But it seeks for the love it had once known

Can I break free of this unending spell

That stops me from saying to you “farewell”?

I love the poem especially the first stanza. The poem is cold and empty and it fits for this poem. Great job:)
