My Wonderland

My Wonderland

A Poem by Basit Majeed

Come to my world, Come to my world…
Where the sparrows don’t sing but do know the herd…
Come to the happiness, Come for the divine…
Who am I confusing, there is no reason to whine…!!
Come to the tree that blossoms so free…

Come to my world, Come to my world…
The world of pain and freakishly with fear…
The temptation to be the boy and rise forever…
Come to my world where food is so scarce…
Come to my world where life is a “phrase” …
Be on my nerves and kill me for free…!!
Because I am a girl and that’s how it should be…

Come to my world where peace is a five letter word..!!
Just to stay away from the home, I couldn’t hold…
Come and shine with me, for I hold the key…
To incessant and unconditional moral debrie…
Come to my world where the decision was never mine…
Come to me and give me a beating in the spine…

I wish, I could be free from this wonderland you see…
I wish, I could tug to my father’s cloth in the hours of wee…
Come to the land of no divisions and equations…
For I also have the right to make decisions…

I am a bird, let me fly…
I am a bee, let me sing…
Come to my world where I come in everything…
This is my wonderland and I am the queen…
Where together my king we shall forever be...
So my dear lets set the spree…
Come to my world the tickets are free…
Come to my world the tickets are free…

World in heaven where fantasy embraces reality indeed paints a very beautiful and serene picture on the canvass. Way to go.

I like the poem. Powerful flow of thoughts led to good ending.
"Come to my world the tickets are free…
Come to my world the tickets are free…"
The good description gave life and spirit to the good words. I like the ending above. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Question, To incessant and unconditional moral debrie… what do you mean by "debrie'?

Review: Symmetry in words is a rare thing, you need depth of meaning as well as emotional involvement, it takes a simplicity in presentation that is really refined articulation. It has to balance the images it creates in ones mind that the story plays out perfectly, that is what this poem does for me. I want to thank Alondra T. N. for requesting I read this, it was a pleasure to read.

What is going on here!? This is bursting with complicated feelings I may not get the entire gist of but i kinda liked it. i kept thinking of the opposing ideas; kill me, come with me, am i a boy, am i a girl. it was interesting to go through.
