Me

Me

A Poem by David Brian

Me

She looked at me, smiled at me, exchanged her eyes with me.

She was real to me and made me feel like me.

For a moment she shared her life with me.

Then she left and I’ll I had was me.

And she, a pleasant memory.

Loved the flow and rhythm. Simple story well told in few words.

What I love about this is the simplicity of your words and how much impact they had on me, as a reader. I must have read it a dozen times already. Brilliant.
