A Poem by Not here

Staring at a blank screen,
forgetting why I write.
Everything seems so mean,
and always such a fight.

Quick and easy poems
seems like a waste of space,
while long and lengthy poems
will never win the race.

Lazy rhymes are easy
but lack my favorite punch.
Cuss words are kind of sleezy,
and sometimes used too much.

Making a poem's hard,
when you can't say words you feel.
So with every broken shard,
you bow and take a kneel.

Every window broken
is a poem that I made.
Even when they're spoken,
everything will fade.

I liked how you defined your poetry.

Released words can seem less painful my friend. Thank you Dante for sharing the excellent poetry.
