Everything Passes

Everything Passes

A Chapter by Dante
"

A poem of the passing

"
Lights are passing by us on the
Highway.
Humanity shining, flying
"My way"
You look at us
From down below
And see the clouds
As we see snow
Pretend you hate
And move along
Pretend you love
And sing a song
As you wait.

Weep for us, chase us flying
Biplanes.
Make me cry. Sing it flying
Sideways.
To you the world
Is not in place.
To me your father's
A disgrace.
Pretend it rhymes
And move along.
Give me a smile
And us a song.
As you kill.

Relations start us crying
"Thy way!"
Make amends, break a ten. Fly
Away
The world is awful
And so small
When youre a victim
Of them all
You had a voice
But never sang
So why even pretend you
Rang.
As you leave.

But listen
To
The song.
Many people
Once
Sang along.
And we smiled.
And we cried.
But at the end of time,
Every one of us
Died.

There's nothing lasting.
There's nothing lasting.

There's nothing past me
There's nothing past me.

There's nothing past us

There's nothing past us

Everything passed us

Everything passed us

Nevertheless
