Silveria

Silveria

A Chapter by Dante

I am all alone, not
declining
You are making sense, not
Silver linings
I thought
We could journey to an
Unknown land
And you could quietly
Take my hand

We walked the path we were
Told to go
We played every part as
Best we know
You saw
No hope for us, no
Future time,
No happy ending. We just
Didn't rhyme
Or flow.

I saw your reflection in a
Passing car
As it headed straight for me
And my heart
It came
With a crash, with a bang, with a death
I was
Lost at sea
To a southern me
Find me
One way or a different day
We spend our nights
wide awake
Take the cake and burn it too
There's nobody else here for me but you

So cold, so cold
