I Remember

I Remember

A Poem by David Kwaku

The past was a time when morning and evening could not separate us.
Time when we would plug our ears into the ocean,
As we send messages across in waves.
Those were the times,
Time never stood still for us to pick a frame and start from where we left off.
We merged with the theory of evolution as we distant apart.
Our relation became segregation.
Footprints became a particle of dust that never stayed,
As it settles and lays on my thoughts,
I remember the times when morning and evening could not separate us.

Heartwrenching. Literally. Sometimes, remembering is the hardest part. You've portrayed this perfectly here. Wonderful!
