Family :)

To me family is who I want them to be

not who is related by blood 

my family is special to me

the people I know will never leave me in the mud

they help me when i’m down

sometimes they don’t even realize

they make me smile when i frown

i don’t need to hide or make a disguise

they love me for me 

i’m so used to being a let down

but with them there is nothing I have to pretend to be

and now i can wear a smile and leave behind my frown

They may not be blood or even related

but to me they are my family 

and i love them more and more every day

Dawn: What a sweet and true poem. Family is that place that we feel cozy, and in peace with ourselves. I miss my family today. My parents are gone, and I am so far from my sister and brother, in th other side of the ocean. But I value family more than anything. It is awesome that I read your poem and see that you are still young. In general, we just see all these things, when older.
