Taped Up Heart

Taped Up Heart

A Poem by Daydreamer12

It was shattered,

It was riped,

Heck it even was squished.

It was chewed on,

It was kicked,

It came back in bits.

I sweared never to give it away,

To keep only in my hands,

But I lost it once again.

I looked and looked,

But didn't find it,

Not until I sat under the cherrytree.

I had found it,

In the tree,

Oh no it had been thrown.

I had climbed the tree thinking,

Never again,

Never again,

Will it leave my hands.

But when I got to the top,

It wasn't brusied or riped.

It wasn't even torn.

Instead it had,

Glue, Staples, and

Tape?

But all I saw was the note that said

"It will never be in the wrong hands again."

A poem of a mended heart. Very nice that you have discovered and accepted your heart has been broken but repaired and you aren't willing to let that happen again. A good write - definately for your age!

OH this was a wonderful way to write that a heart had been put back together after being torn apart!
It was cute. And yes, cherries do grow on a tree! :)
I agree, be careful who you hand your heart too.
Good write!
