Seeking You

When I am lost, now, I look for God

Seeking You

 

I'm picking up the pieces

Of a torn and tattered past

Letting go of what I know

And the dreams that didn't last

Not holding on to yesterday

Which didn't get me far

And doing what I can today

To find me where You are

Humble I will bend my knee

And let my ego go

For its when I’m near the ground

That Your love, through me does flow

And I’ll seek You in my every day

For only Your love will do

To get me to where I belong

Lord, I’ll find me with You

Sometimes I get lost here

And others I just stand still

For my need is to hear Your voice

That I may follow Your will

And the world, well it tries to catch me

Then I know You are holding on

For I feel You draw me closer in

Lest Ye would find me gone

I’m learning how to do this

I can’t do it on my own

Lord won’t You be my everything

For there’s nothing else I’ve known

I’m looking for Your answer

For You to light my way

I’ll pray to You each morning

To give to You my day
