I Miss You

I Miss You

A Poem by Donald Cole

I Miss You

I miss the way we’d be holding hands

And walking to the park

I love the way you light my life

When I’m walking in the dark

My days you made much warmer

Just by being in my world

Heaven sent me an angel

Now you are my girl

Life does have its beauty

I find it all around

I miss the glow your smile holds

In the love we’ve found

I miss the way you’d snuggle me

When I hold you in my arms

I miss being your shelter

In a world of many harms

I miss the way you’d look at me

With a smile on your heart

And the love that streams from you

To bring my life to start

I love the way you love me

In everything you do

And love makes you my everything

My girl, I love you.
