Friendship In the Rough

It never helped 

To post words of indulgence

To let them know 

This woman helps everyone 

except you

     That she has wronged you

When it was right in another perspective

It doesn't heal

That heart

To hear that phrase

That you have declared

She could help

but why?

     When kindness is swindled 

     When fact is forsaken

     When truth is taboo

Belittle her still

Talk ill of her 

Denigrate your dearest friends

   Only to rise 

To make you look like the Hero

The Idol brought down 

The Leech in accession
