I Do I Do Read 'Tween The Lines

A play off of Frieda's poem "read 'tween the lines"

I don't understand why some poets
just don't get it or know it.
That there is more than meets the eye
when other poets right their rhymes.

They should know not all is as it seems
when a balladeer writes out their dreams.
Us writers share a metaphorical bond
cause we all drink from the same lyrical pond.

Indeed, not everything a poet writes reflects his or her life at that moment. We are observers of life and we often write about other people's experiences. No, nothing is quite as it seems. We do tend to give the "audience" what they want.....and sometimes that means sweetening the bitter of life. I like this. Lydi**
