Muddy Mirror

Muddy Mirror

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Double tire tracks

Embedded in the mud.

One headed north,

The other one south.

Messy imprints suggest

A need for quick escape,

But know matter

Which way you head,

Or how fast you go,

The way you tread

Will always leave

Incriminating evidence

Of manslaughter

Until you leave

The rear view mirror

In the image it reflects.

I like this allegory, as I see it...relationships are a two way street---but sometimes the pull and push puts us in opposite directions, with skid marks...that we still see in that rear view mirror.
