As I Walk In The Field Of Dreams

 

Seeds of inspiration are sewn

Into the fabric of life,

Some dry up when

We don’t care for the sprout…

Others grow into beautiful blooms,

Ivy that makes us itch,

Or maybe fruitful hope

And even overgrown vines

That strangles time…

I tend to my garden

With a pen as my only tool

And my mind as the food

That allows my muse

To be the strength of the roots

As I walk in the field of dreams.

Your poem is clearly-expressed, centering around images of gardening. But I feel "fabric of life" is a bit cliché, plus it's the thing that doesn't fit with your on-going gardening metaphors. Another bump: vines strangle (instead of strangles). I like your overall message very much, tho!
