I Will Drive

 

  

I’ve been running on empty

But still I float on

Despite the fact my resilience

Has gone dry.

That is when I need to rely on

The advice of my family

And help from loved ones

To help fuel my drive

That keeps the miles

Moving beneath my feet.

Just like a vehicle

There are many parts

That gives me power.

One day I know

My engine must cease,

But as long as

God fires me up

I will drive on

With a little help

From my wholes.

At the risk of sounding cheesy, there's total truth to the whole 'wind beneath my wings' thing.
I have been very low at a much lower point than pretty much everyone I personally know. If the people who loved me had given up on me, I'd be dead. So yeah... Drive on buddy, drive on. The road is long.
