Smoking RazorA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)She
speaks of brimstone and fire With
a tongue like a razor, Then
exhaling with the serpent’s breath Causing
the snake to suffocate, Leaving
only ashes of parchment paper That
had the devil’s agenda written in blood. Now
the ominous future of mankind Rests
in the hands of a fortuneteller Stuck
in the past. She
watches it all with indifference From
a perch made of the bones of Medusa, Hung
by the wings of a fairy. Her
tears flow like muddy water Until
the truth becomes a dry levee. Cloudy
skies turn dark in an effort To
relieve the pressure From
the fury of heaven’s warning. When
her wind finally clears the fog From
the wizard’s mind Reality
can touch down Leaving
chaos in complete disarray And
drop it on its rearview. © 2017 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
