Reined In

Reined In

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Tangled in reins in the badlands

Where a horse

Can walk on quicksand

The sun will beat

A hundred miles a minute

On the mind sinking in a mirage.

When running on empty

You will be left stuck on the road

Between ruins and paradise.

Walking north or south

Becomes a trip around the world

That leaves you spinning

While trying to walk

The razor’s edge of day and night.

It seems such a flaming, fierce journey, the burning rhythm of the world all around you. How the mind can pull us into that aching mirage all too quickly. Powerful.

We'll said, thank you.
i wish we could walk on quicksand when it comes to love...but love seems to catch us in the mire, and take us down---the right love will lower the branch for us to grab onto...
