Humanity?

Humanity?

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

One question…

                  Humanity?

Answer…

         Changes,

                  Not day to day,

                  Not hour to hour,

                  Rather minute to minute.

One minute…

         Alive and well,

         Blink…

                           On life support.

It walks the razor’s edge

Making it difficult

Not to bleed,

Leaving a blood stained street

To Jacob’s ladder,

Where every rung is

Dripping crimson rain.

Every time I see the light

Burning bright

There is a power surge

Leaving God’s Kingdom

Under a black blanket.

I show off my love

In the light

And let my prayers

Give hope a guiding hand

Through the dark.

For as long as hearts

Of the world believe

Mankind has a fight chance

For eternal peace.

I completely agree with your ending sentiments here. Our world is so broken & full of tragedies, only deep abiding prayer en masse will move the mountains that need moving. I love the way your message is stated in a way that is completely inclusive, becuz we can't leave anybody out -- we need everybody to jump aboard & help turn this barreling locomotive around. Once again, your ability to write with deep intensity from the heart seems to be growing & growing with each poem you write lately (((HUGS))) fondly, Margie

"Peace"... something I often wish for amongst mankind. I do my best not to lose hope, or is it faith, can't tell the difference anymore. Either way, this was a wonderful reminder to continue believing. Great write.

Thank you very much. Keeping faith is hard but I accept the challenge.

Keeping it is indeed a true task in itself.
