Blue Skies

When I look into your blue skies

I feel like a merry-go-round

Because dizziness sets in

And I lose my breath.

The feelings of love

I had in my youth comes back.

 

In your blue skies

I hope you can see

The boyish grin beneath

The man that I am and know

I am still a kid at heart

Inside of this gentleman.

 

When your blue skies

Are filled with clouds

I await the rain

To soak into my skin

So I can feel your vulnerability

Strengthen my heart…

 

For your blue skies are my weakness

And I want to walk side by side

On common ground.
