A fun little tribute to my friend Nicole

trapped in the snow

wishing to be on a beach

with a maragrita or two.

day dreaming rebel girl.

reaching out to raise money

for a wonderful cause

she holds so dear.

Rebel girl oh rebel girl,

a very hopeful rebel girl.

 

Rebel girl, oh rebel girl

plays along with a smile

when I tease her bout doughnuts

that are not within miles.

Rebel girl oh rebel girl,

such a fun rebel girl.

 

Rebel girl, oh rebel girl

your like the girl next door

but a touch more wild

and that’s something to adore.

I’m glad we’re friends

Author's Note

This is for another great friend of mine here on the cafe, Nicole(with something always in parentheses, LOL) I know she's a bit down awaiting the weather to warm up and she's been a great friend so I thought I could cheer her up.

LOL. Yes, poor Nicole (always something in parenthesis) has been awaiting Spring for a long time - and , being in her part of the country - I know it keeps on snowing! very sweet and adorable write for her. send some of that sunshine over here for us - winter is getting old.

Rock and roll cowboy,
I can see a bit of this friend's personality in your poem. She sounds like a fun and good freind who cares about joy and is caring too.
"Trapped in the snow, Wishing to be on a beach" and "reaching out to raise money for a cause she cares about" and "teasing her bout donuts that are not within miles"and "your like the girl next door but a touch more wild." This is actually a nice poem which could also be a really cute song.

wow! its really nice to see friends letting the world know about there friendship, it's a piece well penned, i love the flow. Nicole is one personality that seem to blow zephyr and all around her seem to enjoy the cool breeze of her friendliness.
